Yesterday in one of the worst October winter storms in memory, Milos and I traveled 90 miles south to McGuire Air Force Base to install mylar roller shades in the control tower. We were replacing 10+ year old shades that cover the angled and tapered windows. The lower shades function with a cord the pulls the shade bar down from the top and with the twist of a wrist a cord lock engages. The upper shades are bottom up with a similar locking mechanism. Since we installed on a very stormy day, we couldn’t see how well the sun would be filtered through the tinted film, but I am sure they will do the job. Below are some photos from the day.
