Solar Shade Openness and Color

Choosing a fabric for Solar Shades can be confusing. But if you follow a few simple guidelines, the decisions become easy. If you take a look at the photo below you will see two rows of the same windows using different fabrics.

2 rows resized 600

The top row shows 3% MScreen fabric in 1%, 3%, 5%, and 10% openess all in the same white color. You can see the differences clearly. When you take a look at the bottom row. These fabrics have the same exact openess with the difference being that the color is now black. The drarker color allows for greater visibility over the light color.

However, the lighter colors do better for heat reflection, while the darker colors perform better with glare issues.
